Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, a renowned Ghanaian artiste and self-proclaimed originator of Hiplife, has advised Stonebwoy to quit dancehall and do ‘Borborbor’.
The renowned musicians expressed worry about the fast fading nature of Ghana’s indigenous music.
Ambolley said Borborbor originates from the Volta Region and that Stonebwoy doing it will clearly promote his culture, Region and tradition as against the foreign dancehall genre.
He made that utterance in an interview with Blogger, Attractive Mustapha.
Borborbor is a Ghanaian and Togolese traditional dance performed by the Ewe people from the mid-Volta region of Ghana. The dance is performed especially during the festival of the chiefs and peoples of communities.
