Twene Jonas, the latest hottest social media sensation in Ghana has said that former president Jerry John Rawlings wouldn’t have died if he was in America for treatment.
According to him, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where Rawlings died is a low-standard hospital which cannot deliver better health care to people.
He stressed that we shouldn’t blame COVID-19 as the cause of death for the former Head of State but rather, we should blame our poor health system.
“Normal small clinics in America are well-equipped than big hospitals such as Okomfo Anokye Hospital, Korle-Bu and the others in Ghana. It’s only in Ghana that when you go the hospital around 10 PM, they tell you that there’s no Doctor available. When I say that here in the US, they find it hard to believe but that’s the reality. That stupidity must stop. Ghanaians deserve better. In US, the system is working 24/7“, he said.
