Media reports suggest that Ghana and Newcastle winger, Christian Atsu Twasam has decided to hang his boot and not to play any international football again.
That indicates that the 26year-old prolific playmaker will not be seen in the colors of the male senior national football team the Black Stars.
Christian Atsu feels he has been abandoned by the Ghana Football Association after he suffered an injury at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
According to reports, when the new Black Stars’ coach, C.K Akonnor called on him in London, he disclosed that he is no longer interested in playing for the Black Stars.
The injury Christian Atsu suffered made him lose his position at Newcastle to emergency signing Allan Saint-Maximin which has affected his finances since he does not play in many matches to receive bonuses, he has to rely entirely on his salary.
He may reconsider his decision but for now Christian Atsu, per the reports, is not playing any longer for the Black Stars.
Atsu made 62 appearances for Ghana with 10 goals to his credit.
