In a video report sighted by celebritiesbus, a bridge alleged to have been constructed by the Minister for communication and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has been washed away by flood water.

The bridge which was constructed over the Chemu River in January this year, barely three months ago is supposed to facilitate movement for residents in the Chemuena community.

The minister reportedly disclosed to the gathering during the launching of the project that, the bridge is not any other ordinary bridge but a floating one that automatically moves up when the gutter floods and returns to normal position when the water level reduces.

However, the supposedly unbreakable bridge could not withstand pressure from the heap of waste in the wild running water after the recent heavy downpour.

In the trendy video below, residents were seen cheering on helplessly whilst the bridge got washed away by the flood. Currently, they have resorted to some temporary wooden structures to facilitate movement whilst plans are taken to resolve the damages.
