He made the announcement via his Facebook page. He revealed that his mother died on Monday, 28th October, 2019.
Breaking the sad news, Rocky wrote:
“It’s with a heavy heart, songs of celebration and thanksgiving for my great mother Asibi Dawuni who left us this Monday to join our ancestors. You were always the wind in my sail and now I can fly . Rest In Peace my beautiful mother.”
Rocky Dawuni is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter and record producer who performs his signature ‘Afro Roots’ sound which is a mixture of Reggae, Afrobeat, Highlife and soul music. He currently lives between Ghana and Los Angeles.
