According to reports from Ukrainian media outlets published on Monday, a Russian Su-34 aircraft worth $36 million was allegedly shot down by Russian forces when it was flying over the eastern area of Luhansk in Ukraine.
Reportedly, the fighter plane was shot down close to Alchevsk, a city located in the Luhansk region, which is one of the regions where the conflict is now concentrated.
The city of Alchevsk is now occupied by separatist troops that are supported by Moscow.

On Monday, the Strategic Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine sent videos and photographs on the messaging app Telegram that appear to depict the burned wreckage of a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber.
According to reports, a person on Telegram going by the name Ruslan wrote: “Unfortunately, it belongs to our company. It happens every once in a while.
When I first got the information from a buddy, my initial reaction was skepticism; nonetheless, it has since been verified.”
