Ghanaian Sports Journalist, Saddick Adams details the reason he find it necessary for the country to have a sports museum.
The Angel FM sports show host is of the view that there’s a need to put up a museum to help maintain the legacy of Ghana’s record breaking sports personnels.
He made reference to Black Stars General Captain, Asamoah Gyan’s record of scoring the Fastest goal at the 2006 world cup in Germany which also happens to be our first ever goal in the competitions history.
Such a historic moment would have been preserved by keeping the boot he wore during the match in a museum for tourists to have a look at, thereby promoting the country’s football and maintaining the player’s Legacy.
“If an European tourist lands in Ghana and wants to see more about ?? football, the first thing they’d pay to see will be the boot Asamoah Gyan wore to score the fastest goal at the 2006 World Cup, which is also Ghana’s first WC goal, where will they see that? No Sports Museum” he Laments
The Black stars all time goalscorer scored his first World Cup goal against Czech Republic, which was Ghana’s first goal in the mundial under two minutes and eventually became the fastest goal of the 2006 tournament in Germany.
