Sam Burgess is a Rugby player in England. He is the English former professional rugby league footballer who played the position of a loose forward and a prop or second-row forward in the 2000s and 2010s.

He previously played in England for the Bradford Bulls in the Super League and Australia for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL, and he was able to help the Rabbitohs win the 2014 NRL Premiership. That was the club’s first in 43 years and was subsequently named winner of the Clive Churchill Medal for a man of the match in the Grand Final.

At the international level of Great Britain and England, he played there and later retired on 30 October 2019. That was his career-ending because he had a shoulder injury which has made him an assistant coach for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
