Mobile phone company, Samsung Ghana has donated 500 smartphones to the Government of Ghana through the ministry of information and Ghana Health Service to help in the fight against COVID-19.

With the help of their partner, MTN GHana, the phones which are Galaxy A2 models will come with a SIM Card enabled with 500mb data every month for 6 months.

Sharing photos of their donation via their verified Instagram handle, Samsung Ghana wrote:

“As COVID-19 continues to make its way across the country, our thoughts are with each and everyone. We are dedicating our resources to help, so we can all emerge stronger together on the other side.

Yesterday we donated 500 smartphones to the government through the Minister for information and Ghana Health Service. And with the support of our partner, MTN Ghana the devices will come with Sim cards enabled with 500mb data every month for 6 months.

Let’s continue to adhere to the advice from the Ghana Health Service and the World Health Organization.”
