Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr., known by his stage name Akwaboah Jnr has called Sarkodie and himself out as the biggest musicians in Ghana.
In a Q&A session with fans on Twitter under the hashtag #AskAkwaboah, he responded to a fan’s question concerning his view on the biggest musicians in Ghana at the moment.
Unhesitantly, the former Sarkcess Music signee opined that celebrated rapper Sarkodie and himself qualify as the biggest musicians in Ghana.
Akwaboah and Sarkodie have had a very sound relationship as professional musicians with the former working under the latter’s record label until last year when they separated.
Both Akwaboah and Sarkodie have sounded great on several hit songs including Mewu, Hello, Nobody’s Business. Wanna Be Loved, Always On My Mind, Mengye Mani, etc.
Akwaboah made a phenomenon contribution to Sarkodie’s Highlife album, ‘Mary’ which was released in 2015 and had since been a success.
On the back of the foregoing and other personal convictions, Akwaboah believes he stands alongside Sarkodie to claim the bragging right of being the biggest musicians in Ghana at the moment.
