Despite the fact that Shatta Wale was still beefing Sarkodie before he won the Best International Flow at BET Hip-hop awards 2019, the rapper still did well to promote the name of the dancehall musician.
This was when Sarkodie was interviewed by Hemah on BET UK after he went on stage to claim his award.
Sarkodie said in the interview that he dedicates the award to all upcoming artistes in Africa.
He noted that they should keeping doing what they do best. For instance, if they rap in Swahili, they should keep rapping in that local language and one day, they’ll climb up higher heights.
He then mentioned that if you come to Ghana, people listen more to Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and himself more than top International people like Rickross who rap in English.
