The choreographer was brought into existence on the 22nd of November in 1948 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She was born and brought up in a Punjabi family in Mumbai, she believes in the Islamic religion and holds an Indian nationality. She completed her early education from a private school in her hometown and after that she enrolled herself at a private university in her hometown from where she completed her graduate course.
Since childhood, she was inclined towards dancing and filming and wanted to pursue her career in the industry.

The choreographer belongs to a well-settled Muslim family that gets shifted from Pakistan to India during the time of partition. Her born name was Nirmala Kishanchand Sadhu Singh Nagpal but after her entrance in the industry, she was recognized by Saroj Khan. She was also known by her nickname Moti Bachi.
Her father’s name is Kishanchand Sadhu Singh who was a businessman by profession and her mother Noni Sadhu Singh is a housemaker. She also has four siblings, two sisters, and two brothers. She was very close to her family and loves to spend her time with them.
The choreographer’s marital status was married. She was married twice in her lifetime, first with B Sohanlal who is a choreographer by profession but later on the couple get separated due to some personal reasons. After that, she was married to Sardar Roshan Khan who is a businessman by profession. She also has three children two daughters and one son. Her daughter’s name is Heena Khan and Sukanya Khan, and her son’s name is Raju Khan.

The choreographer was a cute and innocent lady. She was 4 feet and 10 inches tall and her body weight was nearly 88 Kg. She didn’t have any tattoo painted on her body. She had long beautiful long black color hair and also had sparkling star-like eyes.
Career

The choreographer started her career as a child artist with her appearance in the Bollywood movie “Nazarana” in 1952. After that, she started her career as a background dancer and received huge appreciation for her talent and also became one of the respected faces in the Bollywood industry throughout her career.
She had worked with many Bollywood stars and gave the industry many renowned dancers and iconic steps in almost every movie in the Bollywood industry. She had recognized as one of the best choreographers the industry would ever have, and in the back 90’s it was said that dance will not be much perfect without the guidance of Saroj Ji.
She also became a judge in many dance shows and also appeared in the dance reality shows like “Nach Baliye Season 1” in 2005 and “Dance India Dance” as a judge.
Death

The choreographer Saroj Khan took her last breath on the 03rd of July in 2020. She passed away at the age of 71 years at Guru Nanak Hospital in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India due to cardiac attack. She had worked with the industry for so many years and held at different roles since her debut in the industry.

In many interviews, the choreographer revealed her hobbies as she liked dancing, listening to music, and reading. She had worked with almost every Bollywood stars like “Madhuri Dixit”, “Sridevi”, “Amitabh Bachchan”, “Salman Khan”, and many more.
She also stated that by birth she was a Hindu but later on she accepted the Islam religion before her first marriage. She also revealed that her favorite Bollywood celebrities are Anil Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Sridevi, and Madhuri Dixit.
