The rate at which cultism is on the rise in some part of Africa is really heartbreaking.

A secondary school student stabbed his colleague student after they had a disagreement over the practice of cultism.

The Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State on Education in Nieria, Castro Ezama, has ordered the arrest of a student suspected to be a cultist in Government Secondary School State Housing, Calabar, a suburb in Nigeria.

The boy who is to be arrested allegedly stabbed his fellow student over cultism during a brief disagreement.

The incident is said to have occurred during school hours as the suspect – who was later arrested – brought out an axe and cut through his fellow student’s head almost causing his death.

However, the suspect was caught and handed over to the men of the anti-cultism Unit of the Nigeria Police.

Authorities have promised to set him as a scapegoat.
