In April 2019, Dancehall singer Shatta Wale started a free business promotion program dubbed #ShattaTuesdayMarket.

It’s a platform provided across his social media handles where fans can go to advertise their products for interested buyers to purchase.

The program has yielded good results. There has been several testimonies on how people won big contracts through it and others selling massively through it.

Shatta Wale said back in 2019 that his reason for rolling out this program is to help get rid of the suffering and hardship Ghanaians are facing.

He added, “since I’ve got a lot of fans who have played a vital role in my music career but it has been difficult to reach out to them, this project will help connect with them easily by marketing their businesses and trading activities”.

“I am about setting up a marketing team to handle this project and in moving forward, I will be taking money from prospective clients who come to me to market their business. This is because it will help build their businesses which they will make a lot of money out of it in the long run” he revealed.

Well, a year down the lane, it appears the ‘Gringo’ crooner wants to change the narrative as he’s now offering premium package for those who wish to advertise.

In a new post via his social media handles, Shatta said that those who wish to advertise on his pages must pay GHS300 on a daily basis, 3 days for GHS750 and 1 week is GHS1,800.

After making this known, a lot of people were not in support. The public outcry from fans forced Shatta Wale to even delete the banner from his pages.

It’s not known if he’ll re-strategize on a better way to monetize the #ShattaTuesdayMarket as he’s trying to do.
