Shatta Wale shares his story of how he used to serve as ‘bodyguard’ for sex workers at Circle and the struggles he had to endure to make it to the top

Loud-mouthed and highly controversial Ghanaian self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, has shared with his fans some struggles of his life.

He made some interesting revelations about himself via Facebook on how life was really tough for him growing up.

Shatta Wale disclosed that even though his dad was rich enough to provide all his needs for him, he really wanted to make name for himself and make money.

In the bid to survive, the ‘My Level’ hitmaker added that he had to work for prostitutes on the streets of Accra by providing them with personal security from intruders and robbers.

Go to Circle and ask; I had ‘Ashawo’ girlfriends there. Do you know the life I have lived? I used to bodyguard ‘Ashawo’. I was the mafia for them; ask boys who know me for Adabraka, they will tell you [sic].

I have one boy called SI. He used to see me … I wasn’t macho anyway. All the artistes haven’t lived the life I lived, he said.

Shatta Wale is trying to tell his fans that he had indeed struggled and his life today is largely due to his strive and hard work.
