Ghanaian musicians Deborah Vannesa popularly known as Sister Derby and her brother Wanlov the Kubolor were given honorary award at the just ended Ghana Environmental & Sanitation Awards.

This recognition was given for their contribution towards a ‘Clean Ghana Agenda’ through music and the arts.

Announcing the achievement on Twitter, Sister Derby tweeted: “Dolphins, @wanlov and I received a Honorary award at the maiden Ghana Environmental & Sanitation Awards (GESA) for our contribution towards a ‘Clean Ghana Agenda’ through music and the arts. On May 5th, 2018, the siblings released a song dubbed “Refuse Reuse Recycle“.

The song preached on the need for people to stop using plastics rampantly and dumping but rather they should reuse or recycle them

In the song, they mentioned that the rampant use of plastics pose a risk to the ocean and our environment.
