Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, has named his list of top five Black Stars players from 1992 to 2021.
Responding to a tweet from Betway for fans to name their 5 best Black Stars players in the last 29 years, the 69 capped Ghana international named himself as the first and included Abedi Pele, Tony Yeboah, Michael Essien, and Richard Kingson as the other four.
A notable exclusion from the list is Ghana’s all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan, who has scored 51 goals for Ghana in 109 games.

Appiah and Gyan have played together in several tournaments for Ghana, including at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
