Award-winning Afro-Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has named his favorite Ghanaian players who have played for the national team.

In a super-charged interview with Adom TV’s Countryman Songo, Stonebwoy revealed that he has a strong and unwavering passion for football and enjoys the Ghanaian league.

Stonebwoy went on to state that due to his busy schedules, he is unable to follow the European leagues but always finds time to watch the local league especially with his affiliation to Accra Hearts of Oak.

As pushy as Countryman Songo will always be, he pushed Stonebwoy to enumerate his favorite players who have donned the national colors.

Stonebwoy unhesitantly mentioned Bernard Dong-Bortey as his favorite back in the days but his taste has changed now to Asamoah Gyan.

Don Bortey has also made his mark but the Ghanaian player I can authoritatively say I admire is Asamoah Gyan, then senior player Stephen Appiah, Essien, Wakaso, he said.

The love he has for skipper Asamoah Gyan resulted in them doing a song titled ‘Dirty Enemies’ together in 2018.

He further went on to appeal to the government and football stakeholders to resume football if after running COVID-19 tests on the players and officials and the results are welcoming.
