The official Twitter handle of Ashesi University claims their students wrote examinations without invigilators.

They remarked that students pledge to hold themselves to account; to not cheat or tolerate those who do.

According to them, this step is under Ashesi’s Honour Code.

The official Twitter handle wrote:

“Under Ashesi’s Honour Code, exams on campus have no supervisors. Students pledge to hold themselves to account; to not cheat or tolerate those who do. The Code encourages students to own their ethical posture, and to do the right thing even when no one is watching. #atAshesi”

After their tweet, many people came out saying that perhaps, there are cameras installed in the classrooms to capture those who’ll cheat.

But in response, the official Twitter handle of Ashesi University wrote that there’re no cameras to monitor the students as presumed by the general public.

“For everyone asking, we have no cameras in our classrooms.”, they wrote.

We’re just wondering if other Universities can emulate this manner of honesty and integrity.
