Kotoko FC has signed Sulley Muniru, the younger brother of former Ghana Blackstars player, Sulley Muntari.
Muniru joined the Ashanti region based team on a free transfer ahead of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season, which is scheduled to start on November 13.
Myjoyonline reports that Muniru would be with Kotoko for two years.
After parting ways with Russian club, PFK Tambov early this year July, Muniru has been without a club.
The 28-year-old’s transfer to Kotoko marks his return to Ghana league, seven years after leaving Liberty Professionals. He started at the Scientific Soccer Lad’s youth team and graduated to the first team in 2012.
Muniru left Ghana in 2013 and featured for five clubs abroad, including Romanian giants Steaua Bucuresti and CFR Cluj.
Kotoko broke the news via Twitter today after they welcomed Muniru to their team.
