Controversial musician and political activist, Kwame Asare-Obeng a.k.a A plus has suggested that, the Health Minister, Mr. Agyeman Manu should be taken to a hospital in his constituency so he can experience the health system there.

This comment follows the recent news that the health minister tested positive for covid-19 and is allegedly receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Center(UGMC); a news widely reported by many platforms in Ghana.

In a short Facebook, A plus posited that, the Health Minister who doubles as a member of parliament for Dormaa Central should be transferred to a health facility in his constituency so he can equally experience what his constituents have been going through over the years.

“He is MP for Dormaa, if he has covid-19, why don’t you send him to Dormaa District hospital, the same hospital people who voted for him will go to when they test positive for the disease?” he questioned.

He further stressed on the refusal of government to open the Ultra-modern health facility for public use. According to Mr. Asare, government is refusing to open the UGMC because it was built by their predecessor John Dramani Mahama.

What do you make of his suggestion? Is it a good call to send members of parliament to their various constituencies to receive treatment? Will that change their commitment to serve the people in anyway? Lets hear from you
