Africa’s Mz Jhay formerly known as Justina Ackah-Blay, is a Ghanaian musician, singer and dancer who hails from Nzema in the Western Region of Ghana. She is the daughter of Mr Justice Ackah-Blay and Mrs Rebecca Ackah Blay and a sister to Jessica Ackah-Blay and Lawrence Lamptey.

Mz Jhay got her first exposure to fame by participating in the Seventh Season of the MTN Hitmaker and unfortunately didn’t get to the final 12. She further used her talent to work as a backing vocalist for several bands like the Characters Band(2019), De Perfect(2020), Asp Band Crew(2021) and finally the Lappel Music(2021).

Feeling this wasn’t enough for her foresighted career, Mz Jhay went ahead to participate in the maiden edition of the Talent Hunt Live Eviction Show. As the emerging winner, Mz Jhay promises she will release good music that would make an impact as she is going to be a strong force to reckon with.

“With this opportunity, I promise to release music that would be good and make an impact because I’m really going to be a force to reckon with in Ghana’s music industry”– she noted.

Mz Jhay’s music is usually in the genres of Afro-soul, Afro beats and Highlife.

The Talent Hunt Live Eviction Show which is powered by Tekhype, a telecom subscription service company based in Ghana, was a virtual show that was telecasted live on the Talent Hunt App every Saturday from 8 pm to 9 pm and shown on Max TV.
