Tekken: Bloodline Ending, Explained: Does Jin Defeat Ogre?

Jin learns from his grandfather about the Devil Gene he inherited from Kazuya Mishima, his father. It is a genetic anomaly with supernatural origins that has been observed in Hachijo Clan members. Both Kazuya and Jin are Devil Gene carriers and are related to the aforementioned family through Kazumi, Kazuya’s late mother and Heihachi’s spouse. Heihachi is telling Jin a lie when he says he doesn’t know where the Devil Gene originated. He knew it belonged to his wife. Heihachi truly killed Kazumi when she fought him in her Devil form, saying it was in her destiny to do so because Heihachi would be a severe threat to humanity.

Ogre was created by Jin’s Devil Gene four years ago. This time, Jin is fighting Heihachi while being largely consumed by his Devil Gene. As Ogre draws near, the pendant, which was formerly possessed by Julia Chang’s mother, quickly begins to ignite. Nevertheless, Jin manages to slay the monster with surprising ease. Even when it assumes the form of the more powerful True Ogre, Jin prevails with the support of his friends.
