The Chainsmokers have launched a brand new single, “iPad,” together with a Child Studio-directed video for the observe. The clip finds band member Drew Taggart wandering by means of the streets of New York Metropolis as he grapples with the conflicting feelings that comply with ending an unhealthy relationship.
“We wrote this music once I felt like I didn’t have anybody to speak to,” Taggart stated in an announcement. “It wasn’t that I didn’t have anybody that will pay attention, however I had reached a degree of cognitive dissonance that I felt was unexplainable. I don’t maintain a journal so scripting this music and the others on this album (and previous albums) is my alternative to arrange my ideas.”
“iPad” follows the discharge of the band’s latest single, “Excessive.” Each tracks will seem on the Chainsmokers’ as-yet-untitled fourth album, a for which launch date has not been introduced. The duo’s final LP, World Battle Pleasure, dropped in December 2019.
The Chainsmokers will headline the inaugural Afterparty NFT Artwork and Music Pageant at Las Vegas’ AREA15 later this month.
