Veteran Entertainment radio host and DJ, Andy Dosty born Andrew Amoh has opined that the new crop of artistes have saved the Ghanaian Music Industry from dying.

Andy made this known in a recent interview on the Drive talk on Atinka 104.7 FM hosted by DJ Candyman on Friday, 18th January 2019.

His opinion was raised when the Host, DJ Candyman asked him of what he thinks about the role the new crop artistes are playing.

Andy Dosty mentioned the names of Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise, Adina, among others as those who helped in saving the industry from collapsing.

The HITZ FM radio host also expressed his joy in how more of our locally made songs have taken over Nigerian tracks which were then enjoying massive airplays even more than our own songs.

You would recall that we got to a point in time in the country where only Nigerian songs were making waves, DJs all over the country were keen as mustard to air Nigerian songs until the new crop of artistes came ” he bluntly told DJ Candyman.

Although the award-winning radio DJ dissociated himself from the group of DJs and media personalities who hitherto were playing Nigerian songs solely, he was quick to add that he is however happy that the status quo has finally changed because songs from the young sensational artistes have flooded the airwaves now.

But as it stands, everywhere you go, your hear people play songs of these new artistes which I think is very encouraging and great” he passionately stated.
