Actor Van Vicker has lauded the Government and individuals doing their best to send foods and relief materials to the poor and needy during these hard times of Coronavirus lockdown.
However, he noted that the way and manner in which the foods are being distributed will rather cause the virus to be spread.
The renowned actor said he sees people sharing foods without wearing Personal protective equipment and without observing any social distancing rules.
This he said would just cause the virus to be spread more instead of our aim of preventing its spread.
He’s hence calling on all to try and consider the precautionary rules whiles going about the charity works.
Attached to his concerns on Instagram is a video of how sharing food to the needy is done in one outside country in a way where the virus may not spread.
Van Vicker wrote:
“I know here in Ghana our people mean well by helping to distribute food to the needy, excellent initiative. However, we might want to reconsider the food distribution method which seems to defeat the whole purpose of the exercise.
It defeats social distancing, it defeats people gathering with no mask. It is rather promoting the spread of the virus, essentially. Extremely disquieting.
