Trevor Martin Chappell is a name that is synonymous with the sport of cricket in Australia. He was born on October 12th, 1952. He comes from a family in South Australia called the Chappells, which has seen a great deal of success in the game of cricket over the course of its history.

He took part in three tests and twenty-one-day internationals for Australia. In total, he played in twenty internationals. He was a member of the New South Wales squad that won the Sheffield Shield twice, and he scored a century for Australia in their match against India in the 1983 World Cup.

Both of these accomplishments came during the tournament. His career, however, was derailed by an incident that took place in 1981.

At the time, he was bowling an underarm ball to the New Zealand player Brian McKechnie in an effort to stop the batsman from getting a six.

The incident resulted in McKechnie breaking his arm. The incident took place in New Zealand when the game was being played.
