Megill hails from the state of Minnesota. It was on December 5th, 1993 that he was born in the United States (MLB). He used to play for the Chicago Cubs, which is a baseball team that competes in Major League Baseball.
The San Diego Padres made the selection to add him to their roster in the seventh round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.
Megill graduated from Huntington Beach, California’s Marina High School. He skipped his senior year of high school but still managed to graduate from Bixby Charter School.
He went to Loyola Marymount University after high school instead of being drafted because of his academic performance. In Megill’s junior year was lost to Tommy John surgery.
The St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the third round (104th overall) of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, but he did not sign and went back to school.
He continued his baseball career after the 2014 season by suiting up for the college summer team Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
