‘Agege’ as we affectionately call you, though you were our father-In-Law, you were like a father to us. You gave us special treatment like your Daughters. You were always happy whenever we visited you.

You have always encouraged us to pay more visits with your Grandchildren so they get familiar with you. Even though to a point you could not talk, you still insisted we bring your Grandchildren to you.

Even as you lost your speech, you stretched your arm and shook us with attempts to say a word to us. You were much concerned about how they were faring and advised us to train and bring them up in the fear of God.

We will never forget the advice you gave us to take good care of your grandchildren and family in general.

Daminifa Due

May the good Lord keep you till we meet again in the heavenly Kingdom. Amen

6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all

who have loved his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:6-8

Togbe, you deceived us into believing that we would have you with us for a long time. You always looked so healthy. We had never heard of you being sick or not well, not even for a day. We always admired the excellent care you gave yourself.

But all of a sudden, we heard of your demise which was a complete shock to us. How we desired to celebrate your 90th birthday because we had missed all the other birthdays our spouses celebrated with you. But who are we to want you here when the Lord needs you most with Him. We know that we have indeed lost a good counsellor who was so humble, so well composed, so selfless and so loving. Our various encounters with you had been refreshing.

Anytime we visited you at Shia or you visited us, we ended up getting fulfilled and happy that we are in the right family and had a great father-in-law. Your record of achievements in life and in Shia makes us proud always. Not on any occasion did we hear any news about anything evil that you had done. Our spouses also continued to speak well of you even after your demise.

Who would be there for us to counsel us if we wish to report our spouses. We will thoroughly miss your support, counsel and love. We pray the Lord grants you the peace you deserve and preserves you till we all meet the Lord in the clouds where we will remain with Him forever.

Togbe, ‘Hede nyuie’ and may your good virtues live on within and outside the family. We pray your departure serves to unite the entire family to continue your good works and help lift and propel the family’s unity, image and growth.

Togbe, mia ga do go.
