Trina, an American rapper, was born Katrina Laverne Taylor on December 3, 1978. When she made an appearance on Trick Daddy’s song “Nann Nigga” in 1998, she rose to fame.

Trina is “the most consistent female rapper of all time,” claims XXL.

According to Complex’s 2013 list of the Top 50 Best Rap Songs by Women, her song “Pull Over” came in at number 27. In 2014, Trina was named by Billboard as one of the “31 female Rappers Who Changed Hip-Hop.”

Trina completed her senior year as a majorette at Miami Northwestern Senior High School in 1992.

Before opting to pursue a career in music, Taylor initially pursued education to become a real estate agent.

Wilbrent Bain Jr., Trina’s brother, was murdered in 2013. Vernessa Taylor, her mother, died in September 2019 at the age of 62 following a battle with cancer.
