Ghana’s vice president Mahamudu Bawumia gifts a tractor to a 75-year-old former teacher to aid him survive through farming.

A brand-new tractor was handed over to a 75-year-old teacher known as Mr Jacob Duuti, at Napkanduri in the North East Region. The teacher once taught the current vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during his early days in school.

The delegation was led by the Regional Minister, Mr Solomon Boar.

Statements from the delegation read:

“Mr Duuti taught Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia at the Sakasaka Primary School in Tamale, and the astute politician has not forgotten the positive impact of his primary school teacher in his life.”

After receiving the gift, Mr Jacob Duuti revealed a brief experience with Bawumia during his days as his teacher.

He said:

“Bawumia was brilliant and inquisitive. He was always asking questions and I am not surprised about how high he has risen in life. I am so proud as his teacher.” 

It was such a nice move from Bawumia.
