Way to go; NDC Outdoors team to support fight against COVID-19

Amidst calls from the public, including Asantehene for the two major parties to put politics aside, come together and fight coronavirus, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the biggest opposition party was reported to have formed a team to help government lead this fight.

The members of this team and their respective professional backgrounds are as follows.

Nana Kofi Quakyi (Assitant Professor in Public Health/Specialist in Health Economics), Dr. Vida Yarkong (Ph.D in Interdisciplinary Medicine), Dr. Prosper Akanbong- Immediate Past CEO of Tamale Teaching Hospital and Physician Consultant.

Dr. Jehu Appiah: Senior Medical Consultant and former General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, Prosper Bani- Former Minister of Interior and former Head of UNDP’s Crisis Prevention and Recovery Team for Africa’s, Dr. Ezanator Rawlings- Medical Doctor

Hon. Alex Segbefia: former minister of Health, Hon. Mintah Akando- Ranking member on committee of Heath, Prof. Margaret Kweku- UHAS, Dr.Jonas Asamoah- Public Health Expert, Hawa Memorial Hospital, Osiem and Mrs. Mawuena Trebarh – (Communications Specialist)

Congratulations to them on this. This is the way to go as a country. It is very important that we as citizens equally do away with our individual differences and stop the unnecessary politicization of this disease and support any effort geared towards putting an end to this deadly outbreak because coronavirus does not know any party color, religion or tribe.
