Female prisoners of the Mtangani GK Prison in Kenya have cried out to authorities to allow them the chance to get intimate with their spouses when they visit.
According to these prisoners, the fact that they are in prison does not mean their hormones are also imprisoned.
They demand an amendment to the country’s laws to allow them to have time to satisfy their sexual fantasies.
One of the inmates Sofia Swaleh who is serving a life sentence spoke on behalf of her fellow female prisoners.
“The Government, through the leadership of Kenyan prisons, should introduce a law that allows women serving lengthy jail terms enjoy sexual intimacy with their visiting husbands,” said Sofia Swaleh.
Currently, in most prisons across the globe, inmates are deprived of some liberties and rights including rights to have sex or engage in intimacy.
It appears no nation is ready to make changes to their laws to allow some flexibility to the lives of female prisoners.
