Former Ghana Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has reacted after Ghana’s pitch invader, Awal Suleman was given a hot chase which even the most wanted criminal in the world wouldn’t be given in his bid to take a selfie with his idol, Thomas Partey.

The football-loving fan invaded the pitch during the Ghana Black Stars game against South Africa two days behind in the 74th minute of the match.

Seconds after finding himself on the pitch, he was arrested and put behind bars in a race that caused some of the nation’s security men to be falling helter-skelter.

Awal Sulemana has been in the grips of the police since Thursday and been charge with offensive behavior and unlawful entry.

Reacting to the whole incidence, Asamoah Gyan noted that it would have been very good if the invader was handled much nicer.

He compared Ghana’s incidence with Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent case.

He wrote on his Instagram handle;

“We should learn ooo. Treating pitch invader who wanted a selfie with his idol. Wasn’t it beautiful? At least the guy shouldn’t have ended up being detained. Smh.”

The guy has been freed while he awaits his prosecution after a social media campaign was launched in his favor.

He was given heroic hospitality in Cape Coast as he was welcomed home.
