‘We’re not recruiting’ – Ghana Police Service

Ghana Police Service has responded to publications made by a news portal that they’re recruiting for 2020/2021 badge.

Part of the publication reads:

“The Ghana Police Service on Wednesday, 22nd July 2020 has announced the release of the 2020/2021 Recruitment forms for interested and well-mannered citizens to be recruited into the Ghana Police Service.”

According to the police, all applicants must be Ghanaians not less 18 years and not more than 25 years of age by July 22, 2020, must be at least 5 feet 8 inches [173cm] tall for males and 5 feet 4 inches [163] for females, must be physically fit and must be of good character, without any criminal record.

“The application will be solely online, hence, interested applicants are to purchase a Voucher from any Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) branch for Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 50.00).”

Well, the Ghana Police has come out to discredit the publication which is fast going viral on social media.

According to them, the general public should disregard such a news item because it is fake.
