It should come as no surprise that the union of two well-known YouTubers would generate a lot of buzz on social media given how popular YouTube is as a streaming platform. A dual channel called Unus Annus started on November 15, 2019, and it concluded exactly one year later on November 15. Mark Fischbach, popularly known as Markiplier, and Ethan Nestor-Darling, also known as CrankGameplays, made up the partnership. On their own channels, both regularly posted video games, with the occasional random video to mix things up.

Together, they created videos that weren’t similar to those on their primary gaming channels. Instead, they created a movie every day in which they performed absurd feats, such as repeatedly smacking a turkey to test whether it would cook, or giving each other at-home massages.

What does Unus Annus meaning?

When Mark and Ethan came up with the concept for their channel, they wondered, “What would happen if you only had a year to live?” Unus Annus in Latin means ” for one year”. They made the decision to create videos every day for a year, giving each character a different part of the statement.
