Teni started freestyling on Instagram where she was spotted by Oluwaseyi Akerele and was signed to his record label Magic Fingers Records. Teni released her first song “Amen” under the music label in 2016.
However, her breakthrough song was “Fargin” which she released in 2017 after signing with Dr. Dolor Entertainment. She also gained prominence when she tweeted in November, 2017 that she wrote “Like Dat” for Davido.
