Mohamed Salah does not blame Sergio Ramos for jeopardising his World Cup dream.

Liverpool physio Ruben Pons is overseeing Salah’s recovery from the shoulder injury he suffered in his clash with Ramos and says he does not bear any animosity towards the Real Madrid defender.

Salah was forced off in the opening stages of Saturday’s Champions League Final defeat and Pons claims the Liverpool and Egypt star accepts Ramos did not mean to injure him.

“Salah has not told me anything about Sergio Ramos,” said the Spaniard. “I don’t think he is angry with him. It was an accidental challenge.

“We knew that it was something serious as soon as he fell on the ground because he never complains. We feared the worst.

“I was devastated. I tried to keep him calm. I told him he couldn’t do anything about it now and that he should not worry. It was time to look for solutions and not regret that things had not worked out.”

Salah, who scored 44 goals in his debut campaign with Liverpool, flew to Valencia for treatment and encouragingly was filmed at the airport, walking freely without a sling.

Scans have shown Salah did not break or dislocate his shoulder and Pons says he is focused on being fit for Egypt’s opening World Cup game against Uruguay on June 15.
