An Indian monk named Prahlad Jani, also referred to as Mataji or Chunriwala Mataji, claimed to have gone without food and drink since 1940. His birthday is August 13, 1929.

He said that the deity Amba had preserved his life. However, the findings of the investigations on him have been kept secret and have been viewed with suspicion.
He routinely made public and media appearances. In the Indian town of Charada, Prahlad Jani was born on August 13th, 1929. (now in Mehsana district, Gujarat, India).

When Jani was seven years old, he allegedly left his Gujarati family and began living in the bush.

When Jani was 12 years old, he experienced a spiritual awakening and began to worship the Hindu god Amba.

From then on, he began to dress like a female Amba follower, donning a crimson outfit like a sari, jewelry, and red flowers in his shoulder-length hair.

As “[a manifestation of] The Great Mother,” Jani was sometimes referred to as Mataji.
