Whatsapp has stopped working on some devices today and this has affected millions of people world wide.
Whatsapp has recently published the news that it will no longer support some operating systems on android and iOS. It also ends support for windows OS supporting devices.
The company’s website states you can no longer “create new accounts, nor reverify existing accounts on Android versions 2.3.7 and older and iOS 8 and older”.
This is because the app “will no longer actively develop” for those operating systems, meaning some features will stop functioning at any time.
This also includes phones featuring Windows OS.
WhatsApp had withdrawn its support of Windows from December 31, 2019.
Coincidentally, Microsoft also ended support of its Windows 10 Mobile OS on the same day.
