Tanaka Kane, was born on 2nd January ,1903 in Wajiro village , Japanese Empire (modern-day Higashi-Ku,Fukuoka,Japan) to Mr. Kumayoshi Ota and Kuma Ota.

She was married to Hideo Tanaka and beared him four children. Kane held the world record of the world’s oldest verified living person after the death of the previous record holder, Chiyo Miyako died on 18th July 2018.

She was a store keeper in her youth selling shiruho and noodles till old age. In her old age , Kane had been living healthy in a nursery home situated in Higashi-ku,Fukuoka.

When did Kane Tanaka die?

Kane held the world record of the oldest verified living person till her death on April 19, 2022, but her death was announced on 25th April 2022. At her time of death , she was 119 years ,107 days old.

She doubles as the oldest verified Japanese person and the second oldest verified person ever. Kane died on a hospital bed in Fukuoka,Japan.
