As a co-host of the Fox television program “The Five,” Bob Beckel was an American political journalist and pundit who will be missed. On November 15, 1948, Bob was born in New York City. The profession of his mother Ellen Gilliland Beckel is not well recognized, although his father Cambridge Graham Beckel Jr. was a well-known author. American character actor Graham Beckel’s senior brother is named Bob.
After serving in a variety of roles in American politics, Bob joined Fox News as a political journalist and pundit in 2010. In 2011, he started hosting The Five, a political program on Fox News. He served as the co-host up until Fox News fired him in 2015 due to his absenteeism.

 

Bob, who had recently undergone back surgery, is said to have checked into a rehabilitation facility at the time he was judged absent due to his addiction to prescribed painkillers. In 2015, Bob temporarily worked for CNN after his recovery. Due to Bob’s prior remarks about Islam, his selection as a pundit for CNN sparked a significant public backlash. He returned to Fox News in 2017 but was once more let off when allegations that he had racially disparaged a Black staffer surfaced.
