Gregory Stephen Chappell, a former cricketer who represented Australia in Test and One-Day International matches, was born on August 7, 1948. (ODI). Chappell was the greatest Australian batsman of all time, combining a steely focus with deft stroke craft. He was the second of three brothers to play Test cricket. At the time of his retirement, Chappell, a terrific all-arounder who bowled at a medium pace, owned the world record for most catches in Test cricket. His career covered two periods as the game developed after the WSC split and became more professionally oriented.

Since his playing career ended in 1984, Chappell has continued to be involved with the professional game of cricket.

 

He has served as a coach, a member of the Australian Cricket Board, and a selector for Queensland and the national sides. Additionally, he has pursued a range of professional and media interests.

Where Is Greg Chappell Now?

Greg, who is currently 72 years old, has no plans to slow down. Greg runs a consulting business, assists with the cricket program at Prince Alfred College, his alma mater in Adelaide, works with the Chappell Foundation, which raises money to aid homeless children, coach online in the US and India, and more.
