Michael Joseph Fulmer is a pitcher with the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball. He presently has the name Michael Joseph Fulmer (MLB). In the past, he was a member of the Major League Baseball team known as the Detroit Tigers.

 

The Tigers signed Fulmer to a one-year, $2.8 million agreement on January 6, 2020, to avoid arbitration. Fulmer received the go-ahead from his doctor to fully participate in the Tigers’ postponed (July) spring training for the 2020 campaign.

 

Fulmer was added to the Tigers’ opening-day roster on July 23. Every time he started, he threw as a “opener” for around three innings until he was prepared to throw more pitches.

For the 2020 Detroit Tigers, Fulmer played in 10 games, recording a 0-2 record, an 8.78 ERA, and 20 strikeouts in 27+23 innings pitched.

 

On January 12, 2021, Fulmer and the Tigers reached an agreement on a one-year, $3.1 million deal without resorting to arbitration. The Tigers’ manager, A. J. Hinch, announced on March 26 that Fulmer will start the 2021 campaign.
