Further development of the 250 GTO was overseen by new engineer Mauro Forghieri, who worked with Scaglietti to continue the development of the body.

David MacNeil of Chicago, USA, the founder of the automotive accessory manufacturer WeatherTech, bought a silver 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO for a jaw-dropping $70 million.
