Most notably in the top division, he was a goalkeeper for Coventry City, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and West Ham United. He also competed for Luton Town, Plymouth Argyle, Birmingham City, Blackpool, Leyton Orient, and Bury in the Football League.

After retiring, Sealey was given the job of first team goalkeeping coach at West Ham United, where he worked when he passed away on August 19, 2001, of a heart attack.

Sealey joined Coventry City as an apprentice in 1976, and on April 11, 1977, at the age of 19, he made his professional debut against Queens Park Rangers in a 1-1 draw. Before joining Luton Town in 1983 for $100,000, he played for the West Midlands team for the following five seasons.
