Philip John Clapp, best known by his stage name Johnny Knoxville, was born in the United States on March 11, 1971. He is a professional wrestler as well as a writer, producer, stuntman, and actor. Knoxville, Tennessee, was the birthplace of Philip John Clapp. While his mother, Lemoyne Clapp, taught Sunday school, his father, Philip Clapp, sold tires and automobiles. Both of his two older sisters are women.
Most notably, from 2000 to 2001, he co–created and acted in the three seasons of the MTV reality stunt show Jackass. After the 2002 release of the first Jackass film, Knoxville and his co-stars reunited for the 2006 and 2010 premieres of the second and third films, respectively.
Since Knoxville is the gang’s de facto leader, many of the ideas in Jackass are attributed to him. Jeff Tremaine wrote the show’s pilot, drawing inspiration from both Big Brother and the CKY films by Bam Margera.
Why Did Bam Margera Sue Johnny?
The complaint, which was submitted in August, named Spike Jonze and the director of Viva La Bam as defendants. He alleges that Tremaine, Spike Jonze, and 51-year-old Johnny Knoxville “accosted him and pressured him into signing a draconian ‘Wellness Agreement'” or risk being fired from every future Jackass movie.
