It had been two weeks now that citizens of Nigeria hit their streets demanding for the closure of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad since they’ve been slaves to it for years.
A lot had been anticipating an address by the President of Nigeria, His Excellency Mahamadu Buhari on the issue of SARS that had been active in the country by heeding to the protesters.
On Tuesday, 20th October 2020..the lives of most youths of Lekki a city in Nigeria had been cut short by alleged military men.
Various social media platforms aired their grievances on the President not speaking on the current happenings and thus led to his address today.
Shockingly, the happenings in Lekki wasn’t addressed but rather, his Excellency Buhari demanded that all should return to their initial day to day activities rather than moving on the streets demonstrating.
After the address today, Wizkid, Davido and Burnaboy visited their various platforms on twitter to share how disappointed they were with respect to the Presidents address.
According to them,it is only God that can help their country Nigeria.
