Woman jailed for having s*x multiple times with her adopted son

A woman will spend time in prison for having s*x multiple times with her adopted son in Okaloosa County in Florida.

Lauren Myres, 26, was on Wednesday sentenced to six years in prison for one count of unlawful s*xual activity with certain minors.

She will then be placed on s*x offender probation for four years and will have to complete s*x offender counseling.

She cannot have contact with the victim or any minors.

Myres will also have to register as a s*x offender for the rest of her life.

Myres entered a plea of “No Contest” to the charge last week.

In May 2018, law enforcement got a tip about an inappropriate relationship between Myres and the 17-year-old victim.

Myres was a caseworker for Families First Network, who originally had been assigned the victim as a child she was to assist. She eventually decided to foster the child, then adopted him.

After the adoption was finalized, it was discovered Myres and the victim were having s*x.

Myres and the victim told law enforcement they had s*x multiple times over a two month period.
