During the athletes’ parade at the opening ceremony, she carried the banner of the IOC Refugee Olympic Team. She finished last in her heat of the women’s 100m butterfly with a time of 1:06.78, disqualifying her from the subsequent rounds, to which only the top 16 female swimmers advanced.
